A lively imagining of the circus fairground reveals the men and women behind the curtain of Coal World - and their black, refined interests. Coal! And what a show it is. The high striker "Test Your Greed" sarcastically captures the grim cheer as pickaxes send the bell high up the scale. The animation leaves a gritty residue; the coal itself or the industry as a cruel spectacle. The one bright instance of a carbon free future is a nice visual refrain from the somber drab of the coal world. It's an urgent issue, as the exportation of coal for international markets requires structural and ecologic change across land and sea (as if the coral reefs aren't dying fast enough already). Visually hypnotic, break the spell at video's end and follow the annotation to take action to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
