A series of vignettes illustrate some unpleasant statistics about sugar, obesity and diabetes. Ruthless marketing promotes soda and sugar consumption has become a mainstay of diet instead of the treat it once was. While this campaign video from the Center for Science in the Public Interest is a little harsh in some respects, re-imaging the Coca-cola hallmark polar bears to represent a public health problem, it paints a hard truth about diet and marketing. One hopes that people do not lash out at the statistics, but consider the habits that have been encouraged since billboards and TV ads started telling the consumer what is sweet and true.
