This video is about activating donors to be involved with a project they can see implemented, and a story they can stay connected to. WaterAid is working in rural Malawi this summer, creating wells, boreholes, latrines, and educating communities about hygiene practice. WaterAid’s Big Dig site – follow the annotation – has a blog, live twitter feed, updates and is a online portal to the communities being helped, so donors and interested parties alike can see of the working of their contributions and the people helped. Using a few examples to illustrate humanitarian demand and leveraging a tone of urgency with the possibility of transformation, the ask follows an effective tragedy-to-hope narrative, augmented by social web technologies.

Support The Big Dig and the communities of Kaniche and Bokola.
