Star power backs up this video from Greenpeace’s ‘Save the Arctic’ campaign. The psychedelic, eerie sound of Radiohead’s “Everything In Its Right Place” ironically blends with the London landscape and the displaced polar bear, hopelessly meandering the city. The polar bear sniffs at trash, the polluted Thames, the statue of a fisherman with his catch (a visceral instance of the montage), the exhaust of traffic. It is stark, and as Jude Law poignantly reminds us, the polar bear has no voice, save for us. YouTube annotations direct traffic to the ‘Save the Arctic’ microsite, which is a platform collecting signatures and spurring action to make the Arctic a global sanctuary. Combining this action with bans on oil drilling and industrial fishing, it’s a step toward preserving the Arctic.

Visit Save the Arctic and support the Arctic becoming a global sanctuary.
