Mesmerizing color and animation underscore this haunting refugee story. The sound quality at the beginning of the video distracts from the narrative hook—Faisai’s parent were killed by the Taliban and he had to flee Afghanistan—but the evocative visuals arrest the viewer’s attention. Asylum is a scary, indeterminate process, and the Refugee Council helps refugee youth navigate this intensity. The video does a good job depicting an uprooted and foreign world which persons enter when forced from their country.
