The Power of Parks | 2:00
Reminiscing about the past usually takes the form of present bad times and past good times. Memory is reframed in this beautiful animation , taking us to a future post-West Bank Barrier, where two boys, Ali and David, reflect on their shared fear of the violence and divide of their past and the peace and friendship they enjoy in their present. The video does not skirt the burden of history and complicity of ‘sides’, but it also avoids placing blame. It is a very powerful push to reconcile fear and forgive.
