On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake occurred off the east coast of Japan, triggering a tsunami that crashed into the coastline of northeastern Japan causing extensive damage, including the meltdown of three reactors at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. This pithy video speaks to the indefatigable work of reconstruction. Starting from images of decimated coastline and moving to building designs, the momentum and resolve is underscored by an energetic tune, and  a message from the locals to the Tsunami itself: “Stupid Tsunami. We’re not giving up.”
